Do I need planning permission for a HomeWorks garden office or garden room?

This depends on the size of your garden and the planned location with regards to the perimeter of your property’s borders.

How long does a build take?

This depends on the size of the foundation and how many walls (if any) you have within the structure.

HomeWorks would usually allow 2-4 weeks from start to completion – or more in cases of abnormally sized designs.

How are HomeWorks garden rooms constructed?

HomeWorks garden rooms are bespoke, but as a guide, a typical garden room formula includes:

Groundworks, concrete and steel mesh foundations
Timber-frame
UPVC or aluminium framed double glazed units
Rubber roofing
Insulated to building regulations standards as a minimum
‘Vapour-open’ watertight, breathable membrane
Timber or composite exterior cladding options
Fascia boarding, guttering etc as appropriate
Electric connection including sockets and lighting
Professionally plastered interior
